Thunder Bay Master Gardeners

The  group was formed  in 1998.

Founding members include present members, Ralph Bullough, Susan Jaward, Maire Hynna, Aileen Damper, Gert Cantley, Erica North, and Ann Roddy.

Our membership of 32 includes four new Master Gardeners in Training, as well as members from the surrounding district communities.  Meetings with an educational component are held on the first Monday of the month(except July and Aug) at Confederation College.  We have partnerships with other organizations in the community, such as the Horticultural Society, Thunder Bay Art Gallery and the City of Thunder Bay.  Our booth at the annual Home and Garden Show is a very popular stop for gardening questions.  Many community groups request Master Gardeners as speakers at their events. Several Master Gardeners have accepted key roles in developing community gardens, such as the courtyards at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.  This is a very active group with a number of activites every year and a dedicated membership.
