Organizational Structure
The Master Gardeners of Ontario Inc (MGOI) Board of Directors consists of:
· 11 directors, one from each of the 11 Master Gardener zones in Ontario
· 1 representative from the Ontario Horticultural Association (non-voting)
· 1 representative from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (non-voting)
· 2 other appointed non-voting members
· 2 directors at large appointed by the Board to serve for two year terms.
· The immediate past-president (non-voting)
Board members have a two-year term. To ensure continuity, only half of the board seats are re-elected each year.
Zones:
The province is divided into 11 zones. Each zone has 1-5 Master Gardener groups. Every two years, zone members elect one person to represent them on the board of directors. Each zone holds at least one meeting a year to:
· facilitate communication of concerns, ideas, guidelines or policies between the board and the groups. · discuss and provide input into regional activities · establish communication links among neighbouring groups

Zone 1 - Thunder Bay Zone 2 - Algoma, North Bay, Sudbury Zone 3 - Elgin County, West Elgin, Essex-Windsor, London-Middlesex, Sarnia-Lambton Zone 4 - Cambridge, Guelph & Wellington County, Huron, Oxford, Stratford, Kitchener Zone 5 - Brantford, Halton, Niagara, Norfolk County Zone 6 - Lake Simcoe South, Mississauga, Oakville, Etobicoke Zone 7 - Prince Edward County, Quinte-Tweed, Rideau 1000 Islands Zone 8 - Lanark County, Ottawa-Carleton, United Counties Zone 9 - Durham Region, Lindsay & District, Northumberland, Haliburton, Peterborough Zone 10 - Toronto Zone 11 - Bruce, Grey, Muskoka-Parry Sound, Simcoe County |
